Video: Evolusi BMW M3, Generasi Kedua E36
MUENCHEN, January 3, 2016 - After the BMW M3 (E30 ) was born, BMW continued to manufacture its famous sports sedan. They gave birth to the second generation of the M3. In 1992 BMW spawned the four-door variant of the BMW E36 M3 which only reappeared at a later date with the E90 and F80 M3.
There is a slight difference between the E36 and the previous E30 model. If the first model was built to fulfill the desire to own a race car, the E36 was designed to be understated and more luxurious.
For the first time, the car uses a new engine with a 6 in line configuration. It uses a 3.0 liter engine with VANOS continuous variable valve timing - a first for BMW - providing power up to 286 PS.
Available with either a six-speed manual transmission or, in 1997, a sequential six-speed manual gearbox. The BMW E36 can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in just 5.9 seconds.
Like its predecessor, the E36 also gave birth to many special editions, one of which is the M3 GT with a 295 PS engine. The mid-life version was updated in 1995. Changes included a new 3.2 liter engine that made 321 PS of power. In all, more than 71,000 units of the E36 M3 were sold worldwide.
